In April 2013 I was invited to join staff from several Melbourne schools on a study tour of New Mexico. Facilitated by George Otero, the study tour raised our awareness of family school partnerships in the US and the challenges of the newly arrived and legal residents in educating their children.

Launch of Parent Engagement Toolkit

In 2013 I was invited to participate and speak at the launch of the Parent Engagement Toolkit developed by the Catholic Education Office, Melbourne. The toolkit was developed for schools to enable them to prepare a strategic plan and evaluate the effectiveness of parent engagement in schools. 

Creativity in Education Panel Member

In 2013 I was invited to participate and be a member of the panel alongside Professor Yong Zhao, author of World Class Learners, to discuss creativity in education and the need to change our mind set to one of entrepreneurial thinking in education.
